I moved from a boat where I had few pieces of furniture back to a house and needed something to set my television on. I bought this piece and a "book stand" from Furinno and love them both. I wanted something inexpensive, VERY easy to put together and lightweight so I could move it around on my on (I am in my 60's). On all counts, this TV stand works great for me. I would say it would be perfect for young, upwardly mobile as well - those moving for new jobs. Easy to break down, easy to put together and looks nice. For me, these pieces are great - might work for others just as well.
